Spring Sports 2012

This spring, we had 3 kids playing sports, making for a very busy and fun-filled couple of months!
Little E played soccer for the first time and was dubbed as the "speedy-gonzalez" of the team!  He is 5 and was playing up on the 6-7 year old team to play with a buddy, but he held his own on almost every level!  His only handicap was his asthma that gave him fits when running for too long, but we were so thankful that he was able to run as much as he did!  Especially from the boy who claims to be "allergic to running" as a result of so many asthma attacks when he runs! Though his team never won a game, they played their little hearts out and had fun doing it!

CR played his 3rd season of baseball (though Fall Ball didn't really count since he missed all but the last few games from his bout with Kawasaki Disease).  He ended the season with the second highest batting average on the team and was one of the youngest on the team!  He started out playing 3rd and pitcher and ended the season playing second base, which is his best position, in my opinion!

Hambone played her second season of softball and really started to come alive on the field this year!  She played pitcher and short stop and plays with such intensity that all you can do as a parent is smile!  She ended the season playing in he 8U championship game and made 2 home runs, her first ever! She was proud, we were proud and she came away with the game ball!
Hambone and her sweet friend, MoMo, enjoying some icecream after a win!
Hambone and her coaches, Coach Trey and Coach Justin, after their championship win!
