A Few Days of Rest

Robbie and I were invited to go to Cabo, Mexico with a friend who owns a house down there. Though our stay would be free, we still would have to pay for the flight which proved to be way out of our budget! We played with the idea off and on, and Robbie continually checked flight prices, but we just didn't think we could justify the price! Literally 3 days before we were supposed to leave, Robbie was checking flights again, just for fun, and noticed a large drop in the ticket prices! He really needed a get away after a stressful end to the school year, so we made the very last minute decision to go! My sweet sis kept three of my kids (W, Little E, and MV) while my amazing in-loves kept CR and Hambone!

We landed in Cabo with a five days of perfect 85 degree weather!  The first house we stayed in was in La Palmilla and was a house our friend was looking to purchase.  It was beautiful!  He had a chef there to prepare our meals, which was by far one of my favorite parts about our trip!

This is the beach at La Palmilla

Poor Reggie knew i love water and made sure to take us to the best beaches!  This was Santa Maria Beach where all the snorkel boats come.  It had beautiful green and blue clear water that I couldn't resist!  Probably my favorite beach!

Dinner our was always a treat!  This was at Edith's where every dish was absolutely fabulous!  And the service was superb!

Our last day, Reggie took us north a little to a small surfing resort called Cerritos.  Kim and I took surf lessons and had a blast!  The men sat on the beach and took some pictures while getting a good laugh at us!

And this was our view for the final 2 nights of our stay.  A roof top pool overlooking the Pacific!  We even got to see whales splashing around out there!

I sure hope it doesn't take another 12 years for us to take a R&R trip alone!  It was worth every bit of effort!
