WILDlife!

It is normal for us to see lots of wildlife out in the county. We have our rabbits that greet us everytime we drive down the road (and we know from reading Uncle Wiggly that only bad boys and girls try to catch a wild rabbit!!). We have the otter we often see at night, the turkeys that greet us in the morning and evening and the deer we see on our four-wheeler rides (and this big buck we just met one morning on our driveway!). We have seen a fox in the meadow and snakes in the creek and we just found our first 2 DEAD mice in the basement. And of course we have our friendly bees that meet us at the door when we come home or by the clothes line when we hang clothes to dry.

Tonight, we just discovered some new critters. Take a look and see if you can figure out what they are . . .

Robbie found these baby bats while grilling out under the pavillion tonight. So, for all of you who have come over to eat outside on the picnic table with us and for those of you we hope to have over soon, make sure you take a look up, under and all around you before you sit down out here! Do you think we should take our nature journals outside tomorrow to draw these nocturnal creatures??!!
