Country Nights

Fall is in the air here in Tennessee and the days and nights are just beginning to have a bit of chill in them! Last year we thoroughly enjoyed our Fall in the little house making fires and smores; and, this year, we plan to lots more of the same in our beloved fire pit! Being out in the country also has a stillness and quietness that I have become very fond of. I love to sit outside at night and reflect on the wonder and beauty of God. The kids and I took time to do this one brilliantly bright night when the stars and moon looked gloriously clear. What a great time to converse and pass on the wonders of our great Creator!! We tend to think so highly of movie stars and music artist and other famous people, but if we stop and look at the masterpieces that God has created and ponder for a moment that our infamous God knows US! Not just in passing, but intimitely knows us and cares for us! How wonderful a thought is that!

"3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. . . 9 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!"

Psalm 8:3-5, 9
